The Senior Developer will provide technical leadership and mentor team members in the technical design, development, testing and implementation of information delivery, automation and web based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior level technical leadership to assigned project staff throughout the application development cycle and coordinating assigned activities
• Work with project team in the preparation and tracking of the project schedule
• Work closely with project team to ensure that project deliverables are met on time, as agreed upon in the project plan
• Act as an active resource in the resolution of technical problems
• Investigate and resolve senior level technical project issues and problems
• Provide senior level technical application development expertise to deliver clients' information delivery, automation application requirements, SharePoint support, existing internal web applications and information delivery applications already in production
• Analyze, design, code, fix and enhance complex programming modules based on limited business and technical specification but with a goal to constant improvement.
• Develop and oversee testing and implementation of assigned systems and applications
• Recommend technical application development solutions which meet client needs and promote the overall corporate success for the information delivery and automation strategy
• Establish and maintain tools, techniques, standards, documentation and performance criteria required for developing information delivery and automation solutions.
• Provide application development expertise in completing research activities to establish technology approach/strategy/standards and best practices working with colleagues across the different technical teams
• Overall day-to-day operational responsibility for report generation and distribution to various stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing data enhancements through understanding the client’s information delivery needs and X’s data sources needed to build reports and information delivery solutions.
• Provide and understand business requirements for changes and enhancements; understand where data resides within X’s data storage structures.
• Establish quality expectations and ensure compliance.
• Perform and document Quality Assurance testing on upgrades, enhancements, releases and patches received by various system vendors that impact the report process.
• Run ad hoc database queries to assist in application configuration and troubleshooting.
• Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions. Anticipate obstacles and execute proactive approach to issues.
• Analyze use of data across all entities to identify areas of opportunity or need and look for areas to leverage X Corporate resources/pricing.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information and knowledge with team, in addition to internal and external technology partners.
• Liaise and collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure excellent levels of client service.

Requirements
10 or more years of hands-on experience in process automation, information delivery and report design and development ideally in financial firms.
• Possesses a university degree in Computer Science or Business and 5 to 7 years technical/business experience in investment industry.
• Experience in Agile rapid prototyping to solution delivery
• Ability to actively engage in rapid-repetitive analysis and prototyping cycles to delivery solutions efficiently and effectively.
• Have a very strong “Get ‘er done” attitude.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL DB systems and query writing
• Deep knowledge using VS with VB.NET and C#.NET console, service and web based solutions. Strong WCF and WPF working experience.
• Multiple years of experience in large scale complex and multi-system environment
• Analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support
• Must have fundamental knowledge of the business process related to mutual funds, securities, trading and fund accounting.
• Working experience or familiarity with various trading products (equities, options, futures etc.), trading systems, market regulations and market data applications.
• Possesses sound understanding of financial market knowledge and key concepts of the investment management industry.
• A good foundation in financial mathematics will be beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Eagle Investment Systems and Active Reports would be beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, under tight time lines, with great attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.

Jr. Developer

The Junior Developer will be an integral member of the team responsible for the development, testing and implementation of information delivery, automation and web based solutions and applications.
