I don't know why, but I found myself looking at KomRuber's blog. I saw the following "pearl of wisdom" there:
I didn't realize there were people out there who didn't know
Those two bombs prevented World War III. The atomic bomb is a cool technical achievement that demands to be celebrated.
Having said this, I agree with KomRuber's sentiment
RIP

In case you can't tell, 130,000 < millions. Are you saying that preventing millions of deaths and ending the war was "not very smart"? What would you have done? Tickle the Japanese with a feather?the bombings ... caused the Japanese surrender, preventing massive casualties on both sides in the planned invasion of Japan. Some estimate Allied forces would have suffered 1 million casualties in such a scenario, while Japanese casualties would have been in the millions. Although thousands of Japanese were taken prisoner, most fought until they were killed or committed suicide.

I guess today is my lucky day.Есть желание возмутиться, причин нету. Так выпьем же за то, чтобы желание возмутиться совпало с наличием причины на которую можно возмутиться.
