In his post about Ainsworth Hot springs, he wrote:

I was shocked to read that. I guess it is interesting how different people can have a completely different perception of the same thing. In my opinion, in BC the scenery changes every 5 minutes (as one is driving down any highway).

To get to Ainsworth Hot Springs, he had to cross Coastal Mountains, Cascade mountain range, and the semi-desert of the Okanagan region. It is well known that Coastal mountains look different from Cascade mountains (different type of rock + there are more trees covering the Coastal mountains), and from Rocky mountains (which are rocky, as opposed to Coastal mountains that are covered in trees). Ainsworth Hot Springs are in Selkirk Mountains which look a little like the Coastal mountains. He must have been too tired on the way there to notice the desert and hills that remind one of Afghanistan outside of his car's windows. On the way back, he could have been too drunk (according to his post).

I guess to someone who doesn't care about nature and the outdoors, it all Does look the same (even Okanagan's semi-desert and the rain forest to the West of Rocky mountains). This must be the reason why this person is not into nature in the first place.
