Путеводители по дешевым едарням, пивным, магазинам шмотья, описания районов, и много другой полезной и бесполезной информации, в форме дружелюбного хамства от журнала VICE. http://www.viceland.com/issues/guide_to/htdocs/
Markham is almost 100% Chinese. After graduating computer science with perfect grades, students flock to high tech employment in Markham because if you have absolutely no social skills you won’t notice that you are working and living in a completely barren hell-hole.
The east end of Toronto is not really in this guide much but you can’t ignore the Beaches because it’s a bona-fide neighborhood with a really weird history. In the 30s the mangiacakes tried to keep it totally WASP. They creates Jewish picnic tables and then they tried to ban Jews altogether. It erupted when the “Nazi Clubs” encouraged girls to pin swastikas to their bathing suits. Jewish boys would show up and rip the suits off, which led to a lot of fights. It ended in a huge brawl on the other side of town, at Christie Pits. The Beaches isn’t that racially tense anymore. It’s mostly just a nice neighborhood a lot like High Park. You need a car to get there, though, because it’s a bit out of the way and the Queen streetcar is fucking slow.
North York deserves special mention for its mediocrity - the urban disneyland where Mel Lastman poured half his retirement savings into a truely horrendous (and bankrupt) mall called Empress Walk, and then tried to salvage it by pouring the other half of his savings into a Sheppard subway line (also bankrupt).
The area was mostly Korean/Russian and the two got along pretty well. The Russians liked the soju the Koreans liked the vodka I guess the bond started there. Plus, Earl Haig used to be one of the best skate spots around. But then they skatestopped all the ledges and the Iranians started moving in, the threesome transition causing some highschool shootings etc. Not complaining though 'cause Iranian chicks are hot. They're like Italian gina hoes but less attitude more culture.

I'm no downtown elitist, but Scarborough sucks ass. NOBODY is polite even by big city standards and everyone under thirty thinks it's the same as some U.S.,big city "hood". Strip malls and ugly, ill-kept 70's/80's appartment buildings make it look like ( and it IS ) some kind of failed urban/multi-cult experiment. The horror. I get a strange feeling that Canada will look just like Sarborough in about 20 years. Urban decay, race war, smoke, flames and lots of strange smells. Oh, almost forgot, NO WHITE FOLKS.
