(University of Toronto was paying this amount to those with 95% average and higher).
В каждом университете есть "financial aid office"
http://osap.gov.on.ca/eng/not_secure/office.htm
You can contact the financial aid office at the university you are interested in to get the latest info.
В аспирантуре (graduate school) стипендии гораздо выше:
Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS): $12,000/year
Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Fellowship SSHRCC: $17,000/year for 4 years.
I believe that at University of Toronto's business school, Ph.D. students don't have to pay tuition and recieve $2,000/month for 5 years.
Female students are eligible for many more scholarships and grants than male students. See
http://osap.gov.on.ca/eng/not_secure/csg.htm#women
for one example out of hundreds.
[on the page above, go down to "Canada Study Grant for Females Pursing Doctoral Studies"]
{"grant" means you don't need to pay it back

Aside:
If your daughter graduates with a Ph.D., she will have an advantage over her male classmates. If you check out
http://www.aeaweb.org/joe/0603d/html/ ,
you will see that most (all?) ads have the following line at the end: "An equal opportunity-affirmative action employer." This phrase means that if a woman or a visible minority is among the applicants, and this person is reasonably good, this person will be the successful applicant. In Canada, all faculty job ads contain the phrase "Women and visible minorities are encouraged to apply."
Congratulations!
